Why Mums are Superheroes...

Mothers are superheroes...they do so much for us. When we were small, they protected us and fed us and as we grew older, they became our greatest friend and confidante.

Here is a list of some of the great things mother’s do for us and why we should show them our appreciation this Mother’s Day...

1. Mothers are our biggest cheerleaders

Your mum has been there to support you through it all, whether it was designing your Halloween costumes, applauding you at you school plays or tearing up with pride when you got your GCSE results your mum is your biggest fan.

2. Mums are Superheroes

Your mum is always there for you, even when she’s needed a bit of care herself. Mothers care for their children no matter what, even if they’re unwell and would rather spend the day in bed.

3. Mums are time management wizards

Who needs a calendar when they’ve got a mum? Your mum has a better knowledge of your schedule than you, when you were little, she would remind you of homework or gave you your PE kit freshly packed for gym class. That doesn’t stop when you get older, whether she’s reminding you to pay your rent on time or apply for that job before the deadline...mums are on it

4. They have the best advice

Your mum has most likely been there done that for a lot of the things you go through. Going through a bad breakup? Stressed at work? Drama in your friendship group? Your mum will know what to do and her years of experience means that she’ll give the best advice.

5. They've stuck with you through it all..

At every key moment your mum has been there for you, whether its your first relationship, passing your driving test or whatever life throws at you...she's always been there ready with a warm hug and a cup of tea.

6. Mums will always tell you the truth

No matter how brutal it may be your mum ALWAYS has your best interests at heart, especially if you need a bit of tough love.

7. Your friends become your mum's extra children

There's no better feeling than having your best pal being treated like an extra member of the family, maybe your mum always makes up a portion of sunday dinner for your best friend or maybe has even added them to the family group chat. Your best friend is important to you therefore they're important to your mum.

8. They're the best cooks

It doesn't matter if there's only two ingredients left in the fridge, mums can whip up a culinary masterpiece at the drop of the hat. Maybe you've gone out for food at a fancy restaurant and thought "this spagetti bolegnaise is nice...but it's not like how mum makes it!"
