The importance of a good morning routine in the corporate world.

Getting up in the morning is unfortunately a struggle for a lot of us. However, with a little bit of work on your morning routine, this can be remedied and it’s bound to boost your wellbeing and productivity at work in the morning. Whether you’re working from home or the office!

The importance of a morning routine

The mood of the morning can often dictate the majority of your day. So it’s important to maintain a morning routine that you can stick to, that will boost your wellbeing. We’re not saying you need to wake up at 4:00am and go for a run. However, there are definitely a few easy things you can do to make your mornings, and in turn your days a LOT smoother!

What are some healthy things you can incorporate into your morning routine?

Writing down your thoughts

It may seem a bit tedious at first, but getting your brain switched on a bit including writing in your morning routine can be really effective. Writing down how you’re feeling about the day ahead of you can help you get out of that morning slump. It doesn’t necessarily need to be written as a diary, more of a collection of notes that will kickstart your brain for the day!

Making your bed

A simple one, but it’s an easy task that you can tick off of the list and immediately feel like you’re getting through your morning routine, it’s a great starting place for getting yourself out of bed and ready for the day. 'Shake off the cobwebs'

A little bit of movement in your morning routine can make a massive difference to your wellbeing through the first leg of the day. Take a minute to breathe and prepare for the day

The morning is sometimes the only time in the day you’ll actually get a second to do nothing until the evening. So take advantage of it! We’ve spoken previously on the life lift blog about the importance of fuelling your body correctly. This is true in the morning as well! Although not universal, some people really benefit from that extra bit of energy you get from a healthy breakfast in the morning.
